She suggested Just Kids by Patti Smith, and within the next day or so, he asked her if she would be interested in meeting with him for coffee to discuss the book! Nikki thought he really just wanted to start some sort of book club, and she said she was blind to the fact that he wanted more! On a Sunday in early November, Nikki found him standing in the Philosophy section, eager and anxious to see her. They talked for hours and the rest leads up to their beautiful life together now!

Ryan and Nikki grew up in the same town and their families have known each other basically their whole lives. For the last couple of years, they were talking back and fourth about their common interests, like each of their Boston Terriers and their shared love for reading and art. They would exchange book recommendations every so often and catch up with each other every few months. Soon enough, Ryan got in touch with Nikki and asked her if she could recommend a new book that he could read while riding the train to the city where he trains Jiu Jitsu.
